Product Details

The Cometic C4587-044 is a premium multi-layer steel (MLX) cylinder head gasket engineered specifically for Subaru EJ255 Version 2 and 2007-2018 EJ257 engines. This high-performance gasket features a 101mm bore diameter and .044" (1.12mm) compressed thickness, making it ideal for turbocharged applications and performance builds.

Key Features:

  • Multi-Layer Steel (MLX) construction for superior sealing and durability
  • .044" compressed thickness provides excellent compression ratio control
  • 101mm bore diameter optimized for EJ255/EJ257 engine specifications
  • Designed to withstand high cylinder pressures in turbocharged applications
  • Precision-engineered for Subaru WRX, STI, and Forester XT models
  • Compatible with EJ255 Version 2 and 2007-2018 EJ257 engines

Cometic's MLX gaskets feature multiple layers of stainless steel with a viton rubber coating, providing maximum sealing performance under extreme temperatures and pressures. The embossed layers allow the gasket to adapt to minor surface imperfections while maintaining proper combustion seal. This gasket is a critical component for engine rebuilds, performance upgrades, or replacing failed OEM gaskets.
