Product Details

The StrongArm E6405 trunk lid lift support is a gas-charged gas spring (also called a trunk lid strut or trunk lift support). It replaces a worn support that can no longer hold the trunk lid open. A failing support can let the lid drop, which risks injury and vehicle damage.

Key Features:

  • Extended length of 11.71 in
  • Force rating of 61 lbs
  • Heavy-gauge steel body
  • Hardened, nitride-plated steel shaft
  • Rubber O-ring piston seal for controlled lift
  • Self-cleaning piston assembly for smooth, consistent performance
  • Patented temperature compensation module valve
  • Non-stick Teflon back-up ring

Installation typically takes about 5 to 10 minutes. Lift supports should be replaced in pairs.
