EMPI 98-4045-B Upper Trailing Arm Seal for VW Beetle and Karmann Ghia

The EMPI 98-4045-B is an upper trailing arm seal designed for Volkswagen Type 1 vehicles equipped with ball joint front suspension. This critical suspension component installs between the upper torsion arms and the axle beam to maintain proper lubrication and protection of the beam bearings.

Key Features:

• Direct replacement for OEM part number 131-405-131
• Prevents dirt, moisture, and debris from entering the beam cross tube
• Maintains grease retention for optimal bearing performance
• Precision-engineered for proper fit and long-lasting durability
• Sold individually, 2 required per vehicle

This upper trailing arm seal works in conjunction with the lower seal (EMPI 98-4043-B / 131-405-129) to provide complete protection for your front axle beam assembly. Regular replacement of these seals during suspension maintenance helps prevent premature bearing wear and extends the service life of your front suspension components.
