Product Details

The Dorman 911731 Vapor Canister Vent Solenoid is a direct replacement evaporative emission system component designed to control the venting of fuel vapors from the EVAP canister. This solenoid valve opens and closes to allow fresh air into the canister during the purge cycle and seals the system when the engine control module performs leak detection tests.

Key Features:

  • Direct replacement for original equipment on select vehicle applications
  • Controls vapor canister venting to maintain proper EVAP system operation
  • Helps prevent check engine light codes related to evaporative emissions
  • Engineered to meet or exceed OEM specifications for reliable performance
  • Rigorous quality testing ensures proper fit and function

This canister vent valve is a critical component in your vehicle's emissions control system, helping to prevent fuel vapors from escaping into the atmosphere while ensuring the EVAP system functions correctly. When this solenoid fails, it can trigger diagnostic trouble codes and illuminate the check engine light. Dorman engineers this replacement part to restore proper system operation and help your vehicle pass emissions testing.
