Advan YA48H50EWMR Yokohama A048 Competition Track Tire

The Yokohama Advan A048 is a high-performance competition tire engineered for drivers who demand race-level grip on track days, autocross events, and circuit racing. Developed using proven race tire technology, this DOT-approved semi-slick tire delivers exceptional dry traction that approaches the performance of full racing slicks.

Key Features:

• Single block tread design increases contact patch and tread stiffness for enhanced steering response and cornering stability
• Super sticky compound formulation provides outstanding grip in dry conditions
• Twin steel belts reinforced with nylon over a rounded casing design for predictable handling transitions
• Molded tread depth of 4.76mm (ideal for damp track conditions), can be shaved to 3.2mm for optimal dry performance
• Shallow directional tread pattern optimized for track use
• Stiff casing construction minimizes tread squirm and maximizes driver feedback

The Advan A048 has served as original equipment on the Lotus Elise Sport and as the control tire for the Australian V8 Utes Racing Series. This tire is designed for track day use in dry conditions and is not intended for high-speed use on wet roads where standing water can induce hydroplaning. Popular among track enthusiasts, club racers, and performance driving schools.
