Cometic C15517-040 MLS Cylinder Head Gasket GM Bore - LS1/LS2/LS3/LS6 4.200

The Cometic C15517-040 is a premium multi-layer steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket designed specifically for GM LS Gen-III and Gen-IV small block V8 engines, including LS1, LS2, LS3, and LS6 applications. This precision-engineered gasket features a .040" (1.0mm) compressed thickness and accommodates a 4.200" bore diameter, making it ideal for stock and mildly built LS engines.

Key Features:

• Multi-layer steel construction provides superior sealing and durability under high cylinder pressures
• .040" compressed gasket thickness for precise compression ratio tuning
• 4.200" bore diameter compatible with standard LS engine configurations
• Advanced MLS design allows for minor movement between head and block during thermal cycling
• Stainless steel construction with proprietary coating for enhanced sealing performance
• Eliminates the need for additional sealants in most applications
• Designed for use with both aluminum and iron cylinder heads

Cometic gaskets are manufactured using state-of-the-art laser cutting technology to ensure perfect fitment and consistent quality. The MLS design makes this gasket suitable for both naturally aspirated and forced induction applications, providing reliable sealing in demanding performance environments. Each gasket is engineered to maintain proper seal integrity through repeated heat cycles and combustion pressures.
