OEM 012-311-295-F Transmission Synchro Ring for 3rd-5th & Reverse Gear

The OEM 012-311-295-F is a precision-engineered synchronizer ring designed for manual transmission applications in select Porsche Boxster and Volkswagen/Audi vehicles. This critical transmission component ensures smooth, clash-free gear engagement by synchronizing the rotational speeds of the gear and transmission shaft before they engage.

Key Features:

• OEM-quality synchronizer ring for reliable performance and exact fitment
• Used for 3rd gear, 4th gear, 5th gear, and reverse gear positions
• Friction-based design equalizes shaft speeds to prevent gear grinding
• Precision-machined cone surface for consistent engagement
• Lightweight construction at approximately 0.17 lbs
• Requires retainer 012-311-312-D (sold separately, one per synchro ring)

Synchronizer rings are essential wear components in manual transmissions that use friction to match gear speeds during shifting. When worn, they can cause difficulty shifting, grinding noises, or gear clash. This OEM replacement part restores smooth shifting performance and protects transmission gears from premature wear. Alternate part number formats include 012 311 295 F, 012.311.295.F, and 012311295F.
