ContiTech 4040361S 4-Rib 36.1" Elite Poly-V Stretch Belt

The ContiTech 4040361S is a 4-rib, 36.1-inch Poly-V Stretch Belt engineered for automotive accessory drive systems that lack a mechanical tensioner. Built under Continental's Elite belt line, this stretch belt installs without tools by flexing over the pulleys, then self-tensions to maintain consistent drive pressure throughout its service life.

Constructed with advanced EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) rubber compounds, the 4040361S virtually eliminates the chirps, squeaks, and squeals commonly associated with pulley misalignment. A high-strength polyamide tensile cord provides the elasticity needed for toolless installation while recovering to lock in proper belt tension once seated on the pulleys.

Key Features:

• 4-rib Poly-V (Multi-V) profile for smooth, efficient power transfer
• 36.1" belt length — self-tensioning stretch design, no tensioner required
• Advanced EPDM compound resists heat, cracking, and wear
• Polyamide tensile cord stretches for installation, then recovers to maintain tension
• Meets or exceeds SAE J1459 specifications
• OEM-quality construction for direct-fit replacement
• Reduces accessory drive noise and vibration

The ContiTech 4040361S is a direct OEM-quality replacement for vehicles equipped with a tensioner-free accessory belt drive.
