Cometic C5245-066 MLS Cylinder Head Gasket Chevy Small Block Bore - for 4.060

The Cometic Gaskets C5245-066 is a premium Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered specifically for Chevrolet Generation 1 Small Block V8 engines. This precision-manufactured gasket features a .066" compressed thickness and is designed for engines with a 4.060" bore diameter, making it ideal for performance builds and engine rebuilds.

Key Specifications:

• Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction for superior sealing and durability
• Compressed thickness: .066" (66 thousandths)
• Bore size: 4.060" with round bore design
• Compatible with 18-degree and 23-degree cylinder heads
• Designed for Chevrolet Gen-1 Small Block V8 engines
• Embossed stainless steel layers provide maximum combustion seal

Cometic's MLS gaskets feature multiple layers of stainless steel with a Viton rubber coating that provides exceptional resistance to extreme temperatures and pressures. The round bore design ensures proper cylinder sealing while accommodating thermal expansion during engine operation. This gasket is particularly well-suited for high-performance applications, forced induction setups, and engines producing elevated cylinder pressures.

The .066" thickness makes this gasket an excellent choice for maintaining proper compression ratios in modified engines or compensating for deck height variations. Compatible with both 18-degree and 23-degree aftermarket cylinder heads commonly used in performance small block Chevy builds.
