Cometic C5889-036 GM MLS Cylinder Head Gasket Bore Thick - LS7 Gen-4 4.150 036

The Cometic C5889-036 is a high-performance Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered specifically for GM LS7 Gen-4 small block V8 engines. This precision gasket features a 4.150-inch bore diameter and .036-inch compressed thickness, designed for use with aftermarket sleeve applications.

Key Features:

• Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction provides superior sealing and durability under extreme conditions
• 4.150-inch bore diameter accommodates LS7 cylinder dimensions
• .036-inch compressed thickness for optimal compression ratio control
• Engineered specifically for aftermarket sleeve installations
• Embossed stainless steel layers with FKM (Fluoroelastomer) coating resist heat, combustion gases, and coolant
• Stopper layer design prevents gasket failure from excessive cylinder pressure

Cometic MLS gaskets are the preferred choice for high-performance and racing applications where reliability and precise sealing are critical. The multi-layer design allows for controlled micro-movement between layers while maintaining an effective seal, making it ideal for engines with increased cylinder pressures and temperatures.
