Genuine 32140004 Oil Trap Crankcase Ventilation System

The Genuine 32140004 Oil Trap is an essential crankcase ventilation system component designed to maintain proper engine pressure and reduce harmful emissions. This PCV breather system reduces hazardous fumes by managing combustion gases that escape from the combustion chamber into the crankcase.

Key Functions:

• Releases internal engine pressure safely to prevent seal and gasket damage
• Filters oily vapor from crankcase gases and returns it to the engine oil
• Uses engine vacuum to remove crankcase pressure and recirculate gases back into the intake manifold
• Prevents excessive crankcase pressure that can cause oil leaks and seal failure

Genuine Volvo Quality:

• OEM Part Number: 32140004 (Supersedes 32242753)
• Includes gasket for proper installation
• Engineered specifically for Volvo engines with ENG code 1966051
• Direct replacement for worn or clogged oil trap assemblies

The oil trap system typically requires replacement every 100,000 miles depending on oil quality, change intervals, and driving conditions. Common symptoms of a failing oil trap include illuminated oil pressure or check engine lamps, oil leaks from engine seals, and poor drivability. Regular maintenance of this component is crucial to prevent costly engine damage and maintain optimal performance.
