Behr 70826222 A/c Receiver Drier

The Behr 70826222 A/C Receiver Drier is a critical component designed to maintain the health and efficiency of your vehicle's air conditioning system. This receiver drier serves three essential functions: acting as a temporary storage container for oil and refrigerant, filtering contaminants, and removing harmful moisture from the system.

Key Features:

• High-quality OE-equivalent replacement part manufactured by Behr (Mahle Behr)
• Contains desiccant material that absorbs moisture to prevent corrosion and system damage
• Internal filter traps debris and contaminants to protect A/C components
• Designed for expansion valve systems on high-pressure side
• Direct replacement for OEM specifications
• Cross-references: 1078301283, 351200101, 50987A, W0133-1623920

Located in the high-pressure section between the condenser outlet and expansion valve inlet, this receiver drier ensures a consistent supply of clean, dry liquid refrigerant to the expansion valve. The desiccant material absorbs moisture that may have entered the A/C system during manufacture, assembly or service, preventing ice crystal formation and protecting the compressor from damage.

Important Service Information: The receiver drier should be replaced any time the system is opened for service, and most compressor warranties require it. Once exposed to atmosphere, the desiccant quickly becomes saturated and loses its effectiveness, making replacement essential for proper A/C system operation and longevity.
