Product Details

The Cometic C5517-086 is a Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered specifically for Ford Windsor V8 engines with a 4.200" bore diameter. This precision-manufactured gasket features a .086" compressed thickness and is designed for non-SVO applications.

Key Features:

  • Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction for superior sealing and durability
  • .086" compressed gasket thickness
  • 4.200" bore diameter for stroker and performance builds
  • Engineered for Ford Windsor V8 small block engines
  • Non-SVO head configuration
  • Provides excellent heat resistance and combustion sealing
  • Accommodates engine movement and cylinder wall distortion

Cometic's MLS gaskets utilize multiple layers of stainless steel with a Viton rubber coating to create a reliable seal that withstands extreme cylinder pressures and temperatures. The embossed layers allow the gasket to conform to imperfections in the head and block surfaces while maintaining superior torque retention. Ideal for high-performance street engines, racing applications, and boosted combinations where reliability is critical.
