Cometic C5271-027 MLS Cylinder Head Gasket Chevy Small Block Bore - for Gen-1 V8 4.125

The Cometic C5271-027 is a high-performance Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered specifically for Chevrolet Generation 1 Small Block V8 engines. This precision gasket features a compressed thickness of .027 inches and accommodates a 4.125-inch cylinder bore diameter, making it ideal for performance builds and engine rebuilds.

Key Features:

• Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction provides superior strength and durability under high compression and temperature conditions
• Designed for 18/23 degree cylinder head valve angles commonly found in aftermarket performance heads
• Valve pocketed bore design ensures proper clearance for larger valves in performance applications
• Integrated steam holes promote optimal coolant circulation and prevent hot spots
• 4.125-inch bore diameter accommodates stroker builds and overbored engines
• .027-inch compressed thickness allows precise compression ratio tuning

Cometic's MLS gaskets feature multiple layers of stainless steel with elastomeric coatings that maintain seal integrity through extreme thermal cycling. The advanced material composition eliminates the need for additional sealants and provides excellent rebound characteristics, making this gasket suitable for street performance, racing, and forced induction applications on classic Chevy small block engines including 262, 265, 267, 283, 302, 305, 307, 327, 350, and 400 cubic inch variants.
