Cometic C5273-066 MLS Cylinder Head Gasket Chevy Small Block Bore - 4.200 066

The Cometic C5273-066 is a Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered specifically for Chevrolet Generation-1 Small Block V8 engines. This precision-manufactured gasket features a .066" compressed thickness and is designed for 4.200" bore applications, making it ideal for performance builds and engine rebuilds requiring reliable sealing under high-stress conditions.

Key Features:

• Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction for superior sealing and durability
• 4.200" bore diameter accommodates overbored or stroker engine configurations
• .066" compressed thickness provides optimal compression ratio tuning
• Valve pocketed bore design prevents valve-to-gasket interference
• Compatible with 18-degree and 23-degree cylinder head angles
• Integrated steam holes for proper coolant flow and heat management
• Designed for Chevrolet Gen-1 Small Block V8 engines (262-400 cubic inch variants)

Cometic's MLS gaskets utilize multiple layers of stainless steel with a Viton rubber coating to create a superior seal that can withstand extreme cylinder pressures and temperatures. The embossed layers allow the gasket to conform to minor surface imperfections while maintaining consistent clamping pressure across the entire sealing surface. This gasket is particularly well-suited for high-performance, forced induction, and high-compression applications where stock composite gaskets may fail.
