Cometic C5272-060 MLS Cylinder Head Gasket Chevy Small Block Bore - for V8 4.165

The Cometic C5272-060 is a premium multi-layer steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered specifically for Chevrolet Generation 1 Small Block V8 engines. This gasket features a .060" compressed thickness and is designed for 4.165" bore applications, making it ideal for performance and racing builds where precise compression control is critical.

Key Features:

• Multi-layer steel construction provides superior sealing and durability under extreme cylinder pressures
• 4.165" bore diameter accommodates overbored or stroker engine configurations
• .060" compressed thickness allows fine-tuning of compression ratios
• Compatible with 18-degree and 23-degree cylinder head angles
• Valve pocketed bore design provides clearance for performance valvetrain components
• Integrated steam holes for proper coolant circulation
• Eliminates the need for sealants or retorquing after installation

Cometic MLS gaskets are constructed from multiple layers of stainless steel with a Viton rubber coating, providing exceptional resistance to combustion gases, coolant, and oil. The embossed layers create a micro-seal that conforms to head and block surface imperfections while maintaining consistent clamping pressure across the entire sealing surface. This gasket is ideal for high-performance street engines, drag racing applications, and circle track builds running elevated boost or compression levels.
