The Cometic C5489-089 is a premium Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered specifically for GM LS Gen III and Gen IV small block V8 engines, including LS1, LS2, LS3, and LS6 variants. This gasket features a 4.100-inch bore diameter and a compressed thickness of .089 inches, making it ideal for both stock rebuilds and performance applications.

Key Features:

• Multi-Layer Steel construction provides superior sealing and durability under high cylinder pressures
• 4.100" bore diameter accommodates standard and mild overbore applications
• .089" compressed thickness for precise combustion chamber volume control
• Compatible with LS1, LS2, LS3, LS6, and other Gen III/IV LS small block engines
• Engineered to handle high heat and pressure in performance and racing environments
• Embossed stainless steel layers with advanced sealing coatings

Cometic's MLS head gaskets are the preferred choice for engine builders seeking reliable sealing in both street and racing applications. The multi-layer design allows for minor surface imperfections while maintaining excellent combustion sealing, and the gasket's construction resists corrosion and degradation from modern ethanol-blended fuels.
