Cometic C5403-050 MLS Cylinder Head Gasket Chevy Small Block Bore - for V8 4.200

The Cometic Gaskets C5403-050 is a high-performance Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket designed specifically for first-generation Chevrolet Small Block V8 engines. Engineered with a 4.200-inch bore diameter and .050-inch compressed thickness, this gasket provides superior sealing and durability for modified and high-performance applications.

Key Features:

• Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction for maximum reliability and heat resistance
• 4.200-inch bore diameter accommodates standard and slightly overbored blocks
• .050-inch (1.27mm) compressed gasket thickness
• Undersized water ports allow for custom port matching to aftermarket cylinder heads
• Designed for use with aftermarket performance heads on Gen-1 Small Block Chevy engines
• Superior combustion sealing compared to traditional composite gaskets

Cometic's MLS gaskets feature multiple layers of stainless steel with elastomeric coatings that create a micro-seal around surface imperfections. The undersized water ports on this gasket provide the flexibility to custom-match coolant passages when installing aftermarket heads, ensuring optimal cooling system performance. Ideal for street performance, racing, and engine rebuilds where precision and reliability are critical.
