Cometic C4588-040 MLS Cylinder Head Gasket Bore Thick - 89.5mm 040

The Cometic C4588-040 is a high-performance Multi-Layer Steel (MLX) cylinder head gasket designed for Subaru FA20D and Toyota 4U-GSE engines. This precision-engineered gasket features a .040" (1.02mm) compressed thickness and 89.5mm bore diameter, providing superior sealing and combustion chamber integrity for performance applications.

Key Features:

• Multi-Layer Steel (MLX) construction for maximum durability and reliability
• 89.5mm bore diameter accommodates stock and mildly oversized pistons
• .040" compressed thickness allows for precise compression ratio tuning
• Right-hand side (RHS) configuration
• Advanced embossment technology ensures optimal sealing around combustion chambers and coolant passages
• Compatible with Subaru FA20D engines (BRZ, FR-S) and Toyota 4U-GSE engines

Cometic's MLX head gaskets are built with multiple layers of stainless steel, providing superior rebound characteristics and the ability to withstand extreme cylinder pressures. This gasket is ideal for turbocharged, supercharged, or high-compression naturally aspirated builds where OEM gaskets may fail. Professional installation with proper surface preparation and torque specifications is recommended for optimal performance.
