Cometic C5403-095 Chevy Small Block MLS Head Gasket Bore Thick - V8 4.200 095

The Cometic C5403-095 is a premium Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered for Chevrolet Generation 1 small block V8 engines. This high-performance gasket features a 4.200-inch bore diameter and .095-inch compressed thickness, making it ideal for performance and racing applications where precise sealing and durability are critical.

Key Features:

• Multi-Layer Steel construction provides superior sealing and combustion pressure retention
• 4.200-inch bore diameter accommodates standard and slightly overbored Gen-1 small block engines
• .095-inch (approximately 0.024-inch thicker than stock) compressed thickness for custom compression ratio tuning
• Undersized water port openings allow for custom port matching to aftermarket cylinder heads
• Designed specifically for aftermarket performance heads with non-standard port configurations
• MLS design maintains seal integrity under extreme temperatures and pressures
• Compatible with Gen-1 Chevy small blocks including 265, 283, 302, 327, 350, and 400 cubic inch variants

Cometic MLS gaskets utilize multiple layers of stainless steel with elastomeric coatings to create a gasket that recovers from compression and maintains a consistent seal through heat cycles and head movement. The undersized water ports on this gasket give engine builders the flexibility to match-port the gasket to their specific aftermarket head configuration, ensuring optimal coolant flow and sealing.
