Cometic C5273-060 MLS Cylinder Head Gasket Chevy Small Block Bore - 4.200 060

The Cometic C5273-060 is a premium multi-layer steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered specifically for Chevrolet Gen-1 Small Block V8 engines. This high-performance gasket features a compressed thickness of .060 inches and is designed to accommodate a 4.200-inch bore diameter, making it ideal for performance builds and racing applications.

Key Features:

• Multi-layer steel construction provides superior sealing and durability under extreme conditions
• 4.200-inch bore diameter accommodates stroker and overbore applications
• .060-inch compressed thickness allows for precise deck height and compression ratio tuning
• Valve pocketed bore design provides clearance for high-lift camshafts and performance valvetrain components
• Compatible with both 18-degree and 23-degree cylinder head configurations
• Integrated steam holes for proper coolant circulation
• Engineered for high-performance and racing applications requiring maximum reliability

Cometic's MLS gaskets feature multiple layers of stainless steel with a Viton rubber coating that provides exceptional micro-sealing at the head-to-block interface. This design allows the gasket to recover and maintain sealing integrity through thermal expansion cycles and minor surface imperfections, making it the preferred choice for boosted, nitrous, and high-compression naturally aspirated engines.
