Cometic C5270-070 MLS Cylinder Head Gasket for Chevrolet Small Block - Gen-1 V8

The Cometic C5270-070 is a high-performance Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered specifically for Chevrolet Generation 1 Small Block V8 engines. This precision-manufactured gasket features a .070" compressed thickness and is designed to handle the demanding conditions of performance and racing applications.

Key Specifications:

• 4.100" bore diameter for increased displacement builds
• .070" (1.8mm) compressed gasket thickness
• Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction for superior sealing and durability
• Valve pocketed bore design prevents valve-to-gasket interference
• Compatible with 18-degree and 23-degree cylinder heads
• Accommodates over-bored engine blocks

Cometic's MLS gaskets feature multiple layers of stainless steel with a Viton rubber coating, providing exceptional resistance to blow-out and maintaining a reliable seal under extreme cylinder pressures and temperatures. The increased bore size of 4.100" makes this gasket ideal for stroker motors and performance builds exceeding stock displacement. The valve pocketed design ensures proper clearance for high-lift camshafts and performance valve train components.

This gasket is compatible with both aftermarket performance heads and angle-milled factory heads featuring 18-degree or 23-degree valve angles, making it a versatile choice for various small block Chevrolet performance applications.
