Cometic C15313-040 MLS Cylinder Head Gasket Chevy Small Block Bore - V8 4.125

The Cometic C15313-040 is a Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered specifically for Chevrolet Generation 1 small block V8 engines. This precision gasket features a 4.125-inch bore diameter and .040-inch compressed thickness, designed to accommodate both 18-degree and 23-degree cylinder head configurations.

Key Features:

• Multi-Layer Steel construction provides superior sealing and durability under extreme conditions
• 4.125" bore diameter optimized for small block Chevy V8 applications
• .040" (40 thousandths) compressed thickness for precise deck height control
• Compatible with 18-degree and 23-degree cylinder head angles
• Embossed stainless steel layers with Viton rubber coating ensure maximum combustion sealing
• Designed to handle high-performance and racing applications

Cometic MLS gaskets are the preferred choice for engine builders working with aluminum heads, high-compression builds, and forced induction applications. The multi-layer design allows for minor surface imperfections while maintaining excellent sealing integrity, and the gasket's construction helps compensate for thermal expansion differences between dissimilar materials.
