Product Details

The Cometic C5457-054 is a high-performance Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered specifically for Chrysler LA small block V8 engines. This precision gasket features a .054" compressed thickness and is designed to accommodate a 4.125" cylinder bore diameter.

Key Features:

  • Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction provides superior sealing and durability under extreme conditions
  • 0.054" compressed gasket thickness for precise compression ratio tuning
  • 4.125" bore size fits standard and mildly overbored Chrysler LA V8 applications
  • Advanced embossment technology ensures consistent clamp load around combustion chambers
  • Viton rubber gasket coating enhances conformability to deck surfaces
  • Designed to withstand high cylinder pressures in performance and racing applications

Cometic MLS gaskets feature multiple layers of stainless steel with elastomeric coatings that provide maximum sealing under extreme heat and pressure. The embossed active sealing area allows the gasket to rebound and maintain seal integrity even with minor surface imperfections. Ideal for street performance, forced induction, and racing applications on Chrysler 273, 318, 340, and 360 cubic inch LA-series engines.
