Cometic C5921-060 GM LSJ Ecotec MLS Cylinder Head Gasket Bore - Gen-1 87mm

The Cometic C5921-060 is a high-performance Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered specifically for GM LSJ Gen-1 Ecotec engines. This gasket features a .060" (1.52mm) compressed thickness and an 87mm bore diameter, making it ideal for turbocharged applications and performance builds requiring enhanced sealing capabilities.

Key Features:

• Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction provides superior sealing and durability under high combustion pressures
• .060" compressed thickness allows for precise compression ratio tuning
• 87mm bore diameter designed for LSJ Ecotec engine specifications
• Stainless steel construction resists corrosion and maintains seal integrity through extreme temperature cycles
• Engineered for turbocharged and supercharged LSJ applications found in Cobalt SS, Ion Redline, and Solstice GXP models
• Eliminates the need for additional sealants when surfaces are properly prepared

Cometic MLS gaskets utilize multiple layers of stainless steel with elastomeric coatings to create a reliable seal that conforms to minor surface imperfections while maintaining strength under boost. This gasket is a direct replacement for OEM head gaskets and is particularly popular in forced induction builds where stock gaskets may fail under increased cylinder pressures.
