Cometic C5498-056 MLS Cylinder Head Gasket Bore Chrysler - 88.5mm 056 420A

Cometic MLS (Multi-Layer Steel) Head Gaskets provide maximum sealing performance for today's high output engines and require no sealants. This precision-engineered head gasket is designed specifically for Chrysler 420A/ECC engines with an 88.5mm bore diameter and .056" compressed thickness.

Construction and Materials:

• Comprised of multiple embossed layers of stainless steel with the outer layers utilizing a Viton rubber coating
• Multiple layers of stainless steel create increased strength and the ability to rebound and resist corrosion
• Three-layer MLS construction with embossed outer layers
• Round bore design optimized for 88.5mm cylinder diameter

Key Features:

• Ideal for both aluminum heads to aluminum blocks and aluminum heads to cast iron blocks
• Can withstand the shearing force created by the two materials
• Requires less clamp load, creating less bore distortion, and conforms load distribution across the sealing area
• No sealants or re-torque required
• .056" compressed thickness for precise compression ratio adjustment

The Viton coating on the outer layers is heat resistant and designed to meet the demands of harsh sealing environments, making this gasket ideal for high-performance and turbocharged applications. Manufactured in the USA by Cometic Gasket in their state-of-the-art facility in Concord, Ohio.
