Cometic C5399-070 MLS Cylinder Head Gasket Bore Chevy Small Block - 4.030 070 V8

The Cometic C5399-070 is a Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered for first-generation Chevrolet small block V8 engines. This precision gasket features a .070" compressed thickness and is designed with a 4.030" bore diameter to accommodate a variety of performance builds.

Key Features:

• Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction provides superior sealing and durability under high-performance conditions
• 4.030" bore diameter accommodates standard and slightly oversized cylinder bores
• .070" compressed thickness allows for custom compression ratio tuning
• Undersized water ports designed specifically for aftermarket cylinder heads, allowing custom port matching and optimization
• Compatible with Gen-1 Chevrolet small block V8 engines (262-400ci)
• Eliminates the need for additional sealants when properly installed

Cometic's MLS gaskets feature multiple layers of stainless steel with elastomeric coatings that provide exceptional resistance to blow-out and coolant seepage. The undersized water ports give engine builders the flexibility to machine and match ports to their specific cylinder head configuration, making this gasket ideal for custom performance applications and engine rebuilds where precision fitment is critical.
