Cometic C5269-080 MLS Cylinder Head Gasket Chevy Small Block Bore - for V8 4.060

The Cometic C5269-080 is a high-performance multi-layer steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered specifically for Chevrolet Generation 1 small block V8 engines. This gasket features a precision 4.060-inch bore diameter and .080-inch compressed thickness, making it ideal for performance builds and applications requiring superior sealing under high cylinder pressures.

Key Features:

• Multi-layer steel (MLS) construction for maximum durability and heat resistance
• 4.060-inch bore diameter accommodates stroker and overbored applications
• .080-inch compressed thickness for optimal compression ratio tuning
• Designed for 18-degree and 23-degree cylinder head angles
• Valve pocketed bore design prevents valve-to-gasket interference
• Superior blowout resistance compared to composite gaskets
• Reusable in many applications with proper installation

Cometic's MLS gaskets utilize multiple layers of stainless steel with proprietary coatings to create a gasket that conforms to sealing surfaces while maintaining structural integrity. The valve pockets ensure clearance for larger valve configurations common in performance cylinder heads. This gasket is compatible with both stock and aftermarket aluminum or iron cylinder heads when paired with properly prepared block and head surfaces.
