Product Details

The Cometic C5804-045 is a precision-engineered Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket designed specifically for GM L42 and L61 Generation 1 and Generation 2 ECOTEC engines. This high-performance gasket features a .045" compressed thickness and an 89mm bore diameter, providing exceptional sealing capability for both stock and modified applications.

Key Features:

  • Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction for superior durability and sealing performance
  • .045" (1.14mm) compressed thickness for precise compression control
  • 89mm bore diameter engineered for L42/L61 ECOTEC engines
  • Compatible with Generation 1 and Generation 2 GM ECOTEC powerplants
  • Advanced coating technology reduces bore distortion and provides exceptional recovery characteristics
  • Designed to withstand extreme cylinder pressures in performance applications

Cometic's MLS gaskets utilize multiple layers of stainless steel with specialized coatings to create a reliable seal that compensates for thermal expansion and surface imperfections. This gasket is ideal for engine rebuilds, performance upgrades, or forced induction applications requiring precise combustion sealing.
