TRW Automotive 05175397AA Exhaust Valve

The TRW Automotive 05175397AA is a precision-engineered exhaust valve designed for vehicles equipped with the Mercedes-Benz OM642 3.0L V6 diesel engine. TRW Engine Components has been producing valves and valve train components for car manufacturers across the globe for more than 90 years, delivering OEM-quality replacement parts for critical engine components.

Exhaust valves allow the exhaust port to be sealed during the combustion process, so that the engine can run at top efficiency. If the timing belt or lifter breaks, this can cause the piston to come in contact with the valve and bend or break it, causing an improper seal that will cause a rough idle, misfires, and a check engine light condition. This genuine TRW replacement valve restores proper engine operation and sealing performance.
