Febi 103-200-05-22 Viscous Fan Clutch for Mercedes-Benz

The Febi 103-200-05-22 is a premium quality viscous fan clutch designed to regulate your engine's cooling system by controlling the radiator fan speed based on temperature. This thermostatic device ensures optimal engine cooling efficiency while reducing unnecessary fan operation when temperatures are lower.

Key Features:

• OE-matching quality replacement for Mercedes-Benz part number 1032000522
• Viscous fluid friction coupling design for precise temperature control
• Manufactured by Febi Bilstein, a trusted German automotive parts supplier since 1844
• Ensures proper engine cooling to prevent overheating
• Reduces engine load and improves fuel efficiency when full fan speed is not required

How It Works:

The fan clutch uses a temperature-sensitive valve to regulate silicone-based fluid flow between chambers within the clutch assembly. As engine temperature rises, the clutch progressively engages to increase fan speed, providing additional cooling airflow. When temperatures drop, the clutch partially disengages to reduce drag on the engine and minimize noise.

Applications:

This fan clutch is the OEM replacement for various Mercedes-Benz models including 190E and 260E vehicles from 1987-1993. It is designed for vehicles equipped with fluid friction coupling cooling systems, excluding electric radiator fan configurations.
