ACDelco 12841592 Front Right Longitudinal Acceleration Sensor

The ACDelco 12841592 is a GM Genuine Parts front right longitudinal acceleration sensor (accelerometer) designed to measure vehicle movement and acceleration. This sensor is a critical component of modern vehicle stability and safety systems, including StabiliTrak electronic stability control, traction control, and all-wheel drive systems.

Key Features:

• GM Genuine Parts quality - designed, engineered, and tested to rigorous General Motors standards
• Measures longitudinal (forward and backward) acceleration forces in G-force
• Essential for proper operation of StabiliTrak, traction control, and AWD systems
• Direct replacement for front right position installation
• Also known as Accelerometer A (SLP-1) in GM service information
• Typically features 3-wire configuration (5-volt power, ground, and signal)

This acceleration sensor works in conjunction with the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) and Engine Control Module (ECM) to monitor vehicle dynamics and enable advanced safety features. When the sensor detects abnormal acceleration patterns or loss of traction, it helps the vehicle's control systems make real-time adjustments to braking and power delivery. Common symptoms of a failing acceleration sensor include Service StabiliTrak messages, Service Traction Control warnings, or diagnostic trouble codes such as U0125 or C0062.

As a genuine GM Original Equipment part, this sensor provides the factory-original fit and lasting function you expect, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for your vehicle's safety systems.
