Nitto NT SN2 Studless Winter Performance Tire

The Nitto NT SN2 is a studless winter passenger tire engineered for drivers who demand confident cold-weather traction without sacrificing the responsive handling and driving dynamics that performance-oriented drivers expect. Built on Nitto's decades of tire engineering expertise, the NT SN2 brings advanced winter technology together with precise, spirited performance across a wide range of winter conditions.

Advanced Winter Compound Technology:

• Silica-enhanced tread compound resists hardening at low temperatures, maintaining pliability and continuous road contact in cold, icy, and slushy conditions
• Lower-freezing-threshold compound engineered to deliver consistent grip and performance throughout the winter season
• 3D multi-wave sipes interlock under load to add block rigidity while multiplying biting edges for improved acceleration and braking traction on snow and ice

Tread Design & Construction:

• Unique five-rib tread design with a solid twin center rib for continuous surface contact, improved braking response, and straight-line stability
• Directional tread pattern with a high-density sipe layout maximizes biting edges for enhanced grip across snow, ice, and cold wet pavement
• Reinforced shoulder blocks with lateral grooves deliver cornering performance and lateral stability
• Optimized contact patch promotes even force distribution during acceleration, braking, and cornering
• Four wide circumferential grooves efficiently channel water and slush away from the contact patch to resist hydroplaning on wet winter roads

Performance Benefits:

• Reliable traction on snow, ice, slush, and cold wet surfaces
• Responsive steering feel and handling precision for confident winter driving
• Tread construction engineered to minimize road noise and vibration for a smooth, comfortable ride
• Durable build designed for long-lasting tread life across multiple winter seasons
• Available in a broad range of sizes to accommodate a wide variety of passenger cars and vehicles

Nitto Tire, founded in 1949, has built its reputation on delivering niche performance tires that combine engineering innovation with real-world capability. The NT SN2 is a prime example of that legacy applied to serious winter driving — purpose-built for drivers who refuse to compromise performance when the temperature drops.
