BFGoodrich DR454 Commercial Highway Drive Tire

The BFGoodrich DR454 is a SmartWay® Verified medium-duty commercial truck radial tire engineered specifically for the drive axle position. Purpose-built for highway and long-haul applications, the DR454 delivers a proven combination of fuel efficiency, all-season traction, and outstanding retreadability — making it a sound, long-term investment for fleet operators and owner-operators who demand consistent performance mile after mile.

EPA SmartWay® Verified Fuel Efficiency:

• Low rolling resistance tread compound reduces the energy required to keep the tire moving forward, cutting fuel consumption on every run
• Independently verified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency under the SmartWay® program, confirming real-world fuel savings potential
• Engineered to meet the fuel efficiency expectations, carrier certifications, and regulations of highway and super-regional applications

All-Season Traction & Wet-Weather Performance:

• Chunky block tread pattern delivers confident grip on dry, wet, and variable road surfaces throughout all seasons
• Large central circumferential grooves and lateral channels efficiently evacuate water from the contact patch, improving wet traction and resisting hydroplaning
• Angled tread block placement enhances stability and handling across mixed road conditions

Heavy-Duty All-Steel Construction:

• All-steel casing maintains optimal tire shape under heavy loads and sustained drive pressure, supporting exceptional load-carrying capacity
• Reinforced sidewalls resist cuts, impacts, and abrasions common in demanding commercial duty cycles
• Even pressure distribution across the tread area prevents deformation and extends structural integrity over long service life

Retreadability & Total Cost of Ownership:

• Robust all-steel casing is engineered for excellent retreadability, enabling multiple retreading cycles that significantly lower per-mile operating costs
• Eligible for BFGoodrich's Manufacturer's Limited Casing Guarantee for qualifying long-haul service applications when retreaded through authorized Michelin Retread Technologies (MRT) retailers
• An ideal choice for fleets seeking to reduce tire replacement frequency and overall operational expenses

The BFGoodrich DR454 is the dependable drive axle solution for commercial fleets and owner-operators who require fuel savings, all-weather confidence, and durable long-haul performance across highway and super-regional routes.
