Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval Indy 500 Ultra High Performance Summer Tire

The Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval Indy 500 is a summer ultra-high performance passenger car tire rooted in Firestone's legendary motorsport heritage — a legacy built on more than 60 Indianapolis 500 victories. Engineered for sports cars, sporty coupes, performance sedans, and muscle cars, this tire delivers an outstanding balance of dry and wet traction, precise steering response, and confident high-speed control in a street-ready package.

Race-Inspired Tread Technology:

• Large Outside Shoulder Blocks — Increase lateral stiffness for confident cornering grip and dynamic handling during aggressive driving maneuvers
• Continuous Center Tread Pattern Elements — Maintain consistent road contact for precise steering response and reliable braking performance
• Silica-Enhanced High-Grip Tread Compound — Formulated with silica and L.L. Carbon Black for heat resistance, maximum dry and wet traction, and enhanced treadwear longevity
• Circumferential Grooves with 3D Block Technology — Three circumferential grooves combined with 3D tread blocks efficiently channel water away from the contact patch to reduce hydroplaning risk
• Twin Steel Belt Construction with Spirally Wrapped Nylon — High-tensile steel belts reinforced with spirally wrapped nylon maintain optimal tire shape under high-speed load, enhancing stability, durability, and high-speed controllability
• Firestone O-Bead Technology — Promotes superior tire uniformity and a more refined, comfortable ride than typically expected from an ultra-high performance tire

Summer Performance Built for Enthusiasts:

• Optimized rubber-to-road contact ratio promotes even treadwear for extended service life
• High-grip compound resists heat buildup during demanding warm-weather driving
• Engineered for sports cars, sporty coupes, performance sedans, and muscle cars
• Dedicated summer tire — not intended for use in near-freezing temperatures, ice, or snow conditions
