MAHLE VC1014-STD Motorsport VP2 Connecting Rod Bearings Subaru EJ20 EJ22 EJ25

The MAHLE VC1014-STD is a high-performance connecting rod bearing set designed specifically for Subaru EJ20, EJ22, and EJ25 engines. Manufactured in MAHLE's UK facility—the same plant that produces bearings for Formula 1 teams—these motorsport-grade bearings deliver race-proven durability and performance for both competition and high-performance street applications.

VP2 Advanced Tri-Metal Construction:

• High-strength hardened steel backing shell for maximum support
• Cast bronze substrate providing superior fatigue strength
• Proprietary lead-indium overlay for exceptional conformability and wear resistance
• Capable of handling over 12,000 PSI in street applications and 14,500 PSI in race conditions

Race-Proven Engineering Features:

• Laser-etched identification markings prevent bearing distortion and improve heat transfer
• Racing notch design eliminates oil film disruption and potential leakage paths
• Precision tolerances ensure optimal oil film thickness for maximum reliability
• Standard size (STD) bearings for stock crankshaft journals

These MAHLE Motorsport bearings represent the pinnacle of bearing technology, utilizing the same materials and manufacturing processes proven in the most demanding racing environments worldwide. The VP2 specification's unique lead-indium overlay provides superior performance compared to conventional lead-tin-copper overlays found in typical performance bearings, offering better fatigue resistance and conformability under extreme loads and temperatures.
