Product Details

The FCS 86588 Trunk Lid Lift Support is a direct-replacement gas strut designed to restore smooth and reliable trunk operation. This lift support provides the proper force to assist in opening your trunk lid and hold it securely in the raised position, eliminating the need to manually prop it open.

Key Features:

  • Direct-fit replacement for worn or failed original lift supports
  • Gas-charged strut provides consistent lifting force throughout its range of motion
  • Engineered to meet or exceed OE specifications for fit and performance
  • Durable construction designed to withstand repeated daily use and temperature extremes
  • Helps prevent trunk lid from slamming shut unexpectedly

Lift supports naturally wear out over time due to the constant compression and extension cycles. If your trunk lid drops when opened, falls closed, or requires excessive force to lift, replacement lift supports will restore proper function and convenience. FCS struts are manufactured to provide reliable performance and long service life.
