FCS 86258 Hood Lift Support

The FCS 86258 Hood Lift Support is a direct-replacement gas-charged strut designed to safely support your vehicle's hood in the open position. This lift support provides smooth, controlled motion when opening and closing the hood, eliminating the need for a prop rod and reducing the risk of hood damage or injury.

Key Features:

• Gas-charged design delivers consistent lifting force throughout the strut's range of motion
• Direct-fit replacement for worn or failed OEM hood supports
• Durable steel construction with corrosion-resistant finish for long service life
• Pre-pressurized to OEM specifications for proper hood support
• Includes mounting hardware and brackets for easy installation

Over time, hood lift supports lose their gas charge and fail to hold the hood open properly, creating a safety hazard during routine maintenance. The FCS 86258 restores safe, hands-free hood operation with a quality replacement that meets or exceeds OEM performance standards.
