Product Details

The Cometic C4954-040 is a precision Multi-Layer Steel (MLX) cylinder head gasket designed specifically for 2014 and newer Subaru FA20F engines. This left-hand side gasket features an 89.5mm bore diameter and .040" compressed thickness, making it ideal for performance builds and applications requiring superior sealing capability.

Key Features:

  • Multi-Layer Steel (MLX) construction for maximum durability and heat resistance
  • 89.5mm bore diameter optimized for FA20F engine specifications
  • .040" (1.02mm) compressed thickness for precise compression ratio tuning
  • Left-hand side (LHS) application for proper cylinder bank fitment
  • Engineered for 2014+ Subaru FA20F engines including BRZ and Toyota 86
  • Superior material conformability to cylinder head and block surfaces
  • Excellent resistance to combustion pressure and thermal cycling

Cometic MLX gaskets utilize multiple layers of stainless steel with a Viton rubber coating, providing exceptional sealing performance in high-performance and forced induction applications. The embossed design ensures proper load distribution and sealing around critical areas including combustion chambers, coolant passages, and oil return ports.
