Speedmaster 1-147-017 Big Block Chevy 454 Low-Rise Oval Port Intake Manifold Polished

The Speedmaster 1-147-017 is a polished low-rise oval port intake manifold for big block Chevy (BBC) 454 engines with oval port cylinder heads. It is the lowest-profile manifold in the Speedmaster line and the only one in that line described as street legal on pollution-controlled vehicles. It is a direct replacement for the stock intake manifold on Chevy big block engines with general duty oval port heads.

Carburetor Recommendations:

• Street: the stock Quadra-Jet carburetor
• Street performance: a 650-750 cfm performance or double pumper carburetor
• Competition: a 700-850 cfm double pumper carburetor

Important Notes:

• To stay street legal with a square bore carburetor, use one that is also approved as street legal for your application. Square bore carburetors on this manifold are not legal on any emission-controlled vehicle.
• This manifold will not fit under the hood of Corvettes without hood modifications.
• It will not fit tall block V8s.
