Camco Car Covers: Built for the Road Behind You

Camco has been equipping outdoor enthusiasts since 1966, growing from a single-product company into a manufacturer of over 4,000 recreational products. As a leading aftermarket parts and accessories manufacturer serving the outdoor recreation market, Camco has built an in-house development team that specializes in innovative products for the RV, Marine, ATV, and other outdoor recreation industries. It's no surprise, then, that the brand brings the same philosophy to car covers — specifically engineered for a challenge unique to the RV lifestyle: protecting a towed vehicle on the open highway.

Tow Car Protection Done Right

When you're flat-towing a car behind a motorhome, that vehicle's windshield is on the front lines — exposed to road debris, rocks, and highway grit that can cause chips and cracks mile after mile. Camco addresses this with their Tow Car Windshield Protector (Part #45401), a purpose-built solution for RVers who need reliable, fuss-free coverage while in transit.

The Camco RV Tow Car Windshield Protector is a steadfast defense against road-induced chips and cracks, designed for effortless installation and removal with no extra hardware required — simply place the vinyl cover on the windshield, open the doors, tuck the end flaps inside, and close the doors for a snug, protective fit.

Crafted for versatility, an elastic cord ensures a secure hold, making this universal cover compatible with windshields ranging from 35 inches to 60 inches. That broad size range means it works across a wide variety of sedans, crossovers, and small SUVs commonly used as toad vehicles.

Vinyl Construction with a Universal Fit

The cover is constructed from durable vinyl — a material chosen specifically for outdoor durability and resistance to road grime. The soft, slightly padded vinyl fabric helps ensure no scratching of the paint on the vehicle being covered, an important consideration when your tow car doubles as your everyday driver. The universal fit design eliminates the guesswork of sizing, and the door-flap retention system means no straps, clips, or suction cups are needed to keep it in place at highway speeds.

A Brand Rooted in Outdoor Reliability

For over 50 years, Camco has been a trusted leader in creating high-quality gear for outdoor enthusiasts. Whether you are RVing, boating, camping, hiking, overlanding, tailgating, or towing, Camco provides items designed to enhance your outdoor experience. Their tow car windshield protector fits squarely in that mission — a simple, effective accessory that saves RV travelers from costly windshield repairs down the road.

If you're equipping your RV tow setup or simply looking for a no-hassle car cover solution for road travel, Camco's offering is a practical, field-tested choice from a brand that understands life on the road.
