Auto Transmiss Parts Z166 Automatic Transmission Flex Plate

The Auto Transmiss Parts Z166 is a precision-engineered automatic transmission flex plate designed to connect the engine crankshaft to the torque converter in automatic transmission applications. This component serves as the automatic transmission equivalent to a manual transmission flywheel, transferring engine power while allowing for the slight flexibility needed to dampen vibrations and accommodate torque converter movement.

Key Features:

• Precision-balanced construction for smooth operation and reduced vibration
• Heat-treated steel construction for durability and long service life
• Accurate bolt pattern machining ensures proper fitment to crankshaft and torque converter
• Engineered to OEM specifications for reliable performance
• Critical component for automatic transmission power transfer

The flex plate is a wear item that should be inspected during transmission service and replaced if cracks, heat discoloration, or damaged ring gear teeth are present. Proper installation with correct torque specifications is essential for safe operation.
