The Power Stop KC5960 Z23 Evolution Sport Brake Upgrade Kit is a complete front and rear braking solution engineered to deliver noticeably improved stopping performance over stock OE components. This all-in-one kit includes everything needed for a bolt-on installation: drilled and slotted rotors, Z23 carbon-fiber ceramic brake pads with hardware, and red powder coated calipers — no modifications required.

Z23 Carbon-Fiber Ceramic Brake Pads

The Z23 compound combines carbon-fiber infusion with a ceramic formulation to outperform standard OE pads in both stopping power and cleanliness. Pads are thermally scorched during production — heated to up to 700°C to burn off any surface contaminants — which significantly reduces break-in time and delivers immediate performance. A dual-layer rubberized shim design provides a quieter, virtually noise-free braking experience, while the low-dust, iron-free formula keeps wheels cleaner versus traditional metallic pads.

Drilled, Slotted & Zinc Plated Rotors

The precision cross-drilled holes in each rotor allow heated gases and air to escape quickly, helping reduce rotor temperatures by up to 180°F during hard stops. The machined slots continuously sweep debris, moisture, and brake dust off the pad surface to maintain a clean, consistent contact patch. Each rotor is finished with a Silver Zinc Dichromate coating for long-lasting protection against rust and corrosion.

Each caliper includes new bleed screws, brackets, pins, boots, and seals, and uses high-temperature EPDM rubber for added durability. Caliper piston diameter is 1.780 in.
