APW Warehouse Supplies GM8428 Drum Brake Self-Adjuster Cable

The APW Warehouse Supplies GM8428 is a drum brake self-adjuster cable designed to maintain proper brake shoe clearance in drum brake systems. This cable connects the adjuster lever to the adjuster mechanism, automatically compensating for brake shoe wear to ensure consistent braking performance.

Key Features:

• Direct replacement for worn or damaged self-adjuster cables
• Durable cable construction resists corrosion and fraying
• Precision-engineered to restore proper automatic adjustment function
• Application-specific design ensures proper fit and operation
• Helps maintain optimal brake shoe-to-drum clearance

The self-adjuster cable is a critical component of the drum brake automatic adjustment system. When the cable becomes stretched, corroded, or broken, the brake shoes will no longer adjust automatically, leading to decreased braking efficiency and increased pedal travel. This replacement cable restores the self-adjusting function to maintain proper brake performance and safety.
