Victron Energy ORI122436120 Orion-Tr Smart 12/24-15A 360W Isolated DC-DC Battery Charger with Bluetooth

The Victron Energy Orion-Tr Smart 12/24-15A (360W) Isolated DC-DC Charger is a professional-grade adaptive battery charger engineered for dual-battery systems in vehicles, boats, RVs, and marine applications. It accepts a 12V DC input and delivers a regulated 24V DC output at up to 15 amps, making it ideal for charging a 24V service or house battery from a 12V starter battery and alternator.

The "Smart" designation refers to the unit's built-in Bluetooth connectivity, allowing full monitoring, configuration, and remote on/off control via the free VictronConnect app on any Bluetooth-enabled smartphone or tablet. This also enables over-the-air firmware updates as new features become available.

Key Features:

• Adaptive 3-stage charging (Bulk – Absorption – Float) optimized for both lead-acid and lithium battery chemistries
• Smart alternator compatible — built-in engine-running detection prevents discharging the starter battery when the alternator is not supplying power
• Galvanic isolation — input and output have fully separate chassis grounds, eliminating ground loop issues in complex electrical systems
• Bluetooth monitoring and programming via the free VictronConnect app — adjust settings, update firmware, and toggle on/off remotely
• Remote on/off terminal — supports hardwired switch or automated control via a Battery Management System (BMS)
• Parallel operation — unlimited units can be connected in parallel to scale output power as needed
• High-temperature rated — full rated output up to 40°C (104°F), operational up to 55°C (131°F) with automatic power derating
• Short-circuit and over-temperature protection for safe, reliable operation
• Configurable for fixed output voltage mode (power supply mode) in addition to 3-stage charging

The Orion-Tr Smart isolated DC-DC charger is the professional solution for vehicles equipped with modern Euro 5/6 smart ECU-controlled alternators that deliver variable output voltages, ensuring the service battery receives a full, proper charge regardless of alternator behavior. Backed by Victron Energy's 5-year warranty.
