The Stemco 300-4009 hub cap (also called a wheel hub cap or oil hub cap) is a cast aluminum bolt-on cap for trailer (TN) axles. It covers the end of the hub to protect the wheel bearings and axle nut from dirt, debris and moisture.

Key Features:

  • Cast aluminum construction
  • 6-bolt mounting pattern on a 5.5 in bolt circle, with 5/16 in bolt holes
  • Flange outer diameter of 6.25 in and flange inner diameter of 4.38 in
  • Height of 2.69 in and inside depth of 1.94 in
  • Red plug and gasket included
  • No side fill plug
  • Suitable for oil or grease lubrication

A replacement hub cap helps keep lubricant in and contaminants out of the wheel end. It is a practical swap when the original cap is cracked, damaged or leaking.

The only thing negative I can say is I didn't receive emails stating the item was shipped with a tracking number. I did receive the part quickly so I can complain too much about the lack of emails. I will use Autoplicity again in the future.
