The COMP Cams Stage 1 LST Master Cam Kit is engineered specifically for turbocharged 4.8L and 5.3L LS engines and is ideal for "cam only" builds with unknown back pressure. The Low Shock Technology (LST) features lobe profiles designed to maximize horsepower while improving valve train stability at higher RPM, and these profiles are also easier on the valve springs, enhancing durability and reducing load loss. Stage 1 LST kits commonly add 60+ horsepower, depending on application.

Complete Master Kit Includes:

  • LST camshaft (54-330-11) with hydraulic roller lifters (875-16)
  • 24X timing set (7102) for engines with 24-tooth reluctor wheels
  • Chromoly pushrods (7639-16)
  • Dual valve springs (26526-16) with tool steel retainers (1779-16)
  • Valve locks (623-16), spring seats (4695-16), and valve seals (511-16)

  • Duration @ 0.050": 223°/225° (Intake/Exhaust)
  • Valve Lift with 1.7 Rocker: 0.598"/0.600" (Intake/Exhaust)

COMP Cams employs Micro Surface Enhancement (MSE) technology, a finishing process that improves the camshaft lobe and load-bearing faces through a 65% reduction in surface peak roughness and provides a 250% improvement in the effective load bearing area, spreading the contact area between the roller and cam face to allow much higher loads and lower localized stress. This kit is designed for GM LS Gen III/IV 3-Bolt engines and is intended for street/performance and street/strip applications.

Note: This kit includes a 24X timing set for engines equipped with 24-tooth reluctor wheels. For 58X applications, see part number MK54-330-58. Assembly lubricant and installation kit sold separately.
