The MSD 85824 Pro-Billet Crab Cap Distributor is purpose-built for Ford 289 and 302 small block engines where underhood clearance is at a premium. The signature low-profile crab cap design routes spark plug wires horizontally out the side of the cap, dramatically reducing overall distributor height — making it the ideal solution for engines equipped with blowers, supercharger snouts, large air cleaners, or any components that interfere with a standard distributor cap.

Built on the proven MSD Pro-Billet platform, this distributor features a CNC machined billet aluminum housing and base for precision fitment and long-term durability. The polished steel shaft is QPQ coated and rides in a sealed ball bearing for smooth, high-rpm stability. A maintenance-free magnetic pickup and precision reluctor deliver consistent, accurate trigger signals across the entire rpm range.
