Four Seasons 83380 Filter Drier Desiccant Bag Kit with Plug

The Four Seasons 83380 is a replacement desiccant bag kit designed to restore moisture-absorbing performance in automotive A/C receiver driers and filter driers. This essential component removes harmful moisture and contaminants from air conditioning systems that cannot be eliminated through flushing alone.

Key Features:

• High-quality desiccant material ensures appropriate moisture absorption
• 55 grams of desiccant in cloth bag construction
• Measures 8.75 inches in length with 1.0 inch outside diameter
• Includes necessary gaskets, O-rings, and seals for complete installation
• Comes with plug for secure sealing
• Compatible with R12, R134a, and R1234yf refrigerants
• White cloth material designed for durability

Moisture in an A/C system mixes with refrigerant to create corrosive acids that damage evaporators, condensers, and compressors. The desiccant bag must be replaced whenever the system is opened or serviced, as exposure to atmosphere can saturate the bag within hours, rendering it ineffective. Replacement is also required to validate compressor warranty coverage.
