Product Details

The BMC FB853/20 is a high-performance replacement panel air filter designed specifically for the Volvo V40 II and Cross Country models. This premium air filter installs directly into your vehicle's original airbox, offering a significant upgrade over standard paper filters with improved airflow and superior filtration efficiency.

Advanced Construction & Materials:

  • Multi-layered cotton gauze filtration media soaked with low-viscosity oil for optimal performance
  • Filters particles as small as 7 microns (compared to OEM filters at 10 microns)
  • Epoxy-coated alloy mesh provides protection from fuel vapor and oxidation
  • Full Moulding manufacturing process creates a single-piece design with no welded joints
  • Durable rubber frame with optimum adhesion characteristics ensures proper seal

Performance Benefits:

  • Increased airflow compared to standard paper filters
  • Reduced pressure drop for improved engine breathing
  • Enhanced throttle response and acceleration
  • More efficient filtration protects your engine from contaminants

Washable & Reusable: All BMC air filters come pre-oiled and ready to install. Unlike disposable paper filters, this cotton gauze filter can be washed and regenerated using the BMC cleaning kit, making it an economical and environmentally friendly choice that will last the lifetime of your vehicle.

OEM Replacement: Replaces Volvo OEM part number 31368022 and is cross-compatible with K&N 33-3055.
